I have come in early today to finish my magazine today as it is my deadline, i am going to finish putting in all my sell lines, so hopefully i will be able to complete it.

In today's lesson i manged to complete my contents page and start my front cover, i didn't have time to time to finish my front cover as i was helping out in the media department for an awards evening.

Today i didn't have media but i came after school to try complete more of my draft to my magazine i managed to complete my double page spreads. The next time i am going to come in is thursday to try and complete it.

Today i finished my article draft so next lesson i can start my front cover draft. I need to make sure i am completing al tasks before christmas so i can hit my deadline.

By next lesson i am planning to finish my evaluation of my Questionaire. In my evaluation i am going to include graphs to show what people want me to inclide in my magazine. I am going to decide my final name and colour scheme.

In today's lesson i printed out my questionnaire and got my fellow class mates to fill it out to help me pick colours names and prices for my magazine, i have also created my new media presentation.It allows people to know how i am going to promote my magazine and how people can enter competitions.

In today's lesson we had to work in groups of 3. My group was me, Gemma and Matt. For the double period  we analysed one front cover, one contents page, and one double page spread.This task helped us with our work as we could work as a team and put all our ideas into one. After we have finished and presented our Analysed posters we could put what we learned into our own work.

Production Log 27th September

In todays lesson i analysed 3 front covers of a music magazine and explained why the produced the magazine the way they did it and how it has a effect on the audience. After i finished them i had to scribd them and upload it to my blog. When i finished doing this i then started on analysing 3 contents page which i didn't manage to finish so i am finishing them off at home so i can out them onto my blog.

In today's lesson I finished my preliminary task, evaluated it and uploaded it to my blogger. My preliminary task only took a couple of lessons as I wasn't going to spend and waste time on producing it and editing it on photoshop to make it look perfect as I want to be able to see how much more i learn in the next year of media so then i can compare my work together. I made sure that my front cover and contents page included the basics that a magazine must have when its published, therefore I included a masthead, images, page numbers etc. In my evaluation I just analysed it and explained why i picked the picture i chose and the colours for my colour scheme, i also explained why i done it in the order of how i put it together.

Contents Page Haydon news

When i created my contents page i used the current colours that i had already used on my front cover as it shows that i was sticking to my current colour scheme so it all looks like it is part of one magazine. The first thing that i done was add the title i made it stand out at the top of the page so everyone knew what this page was. After i added the bar at the bottom as a little extra so that everyone who wanted to know how to get onto the website to find out more information could go and do that.

I added in all my headers so people could go to a certain page instead of looking through the whole thing for that one page. 

The improvements that i have come up with to help my magazine contents page is that i could make my headers stand out more and make it more fun looking more interesting, also i could add another colour to mix it up a bit.

Haydon news paper Front cover

When i created my haydon news magaizine, we had to go round school to take photos and then apply them to our haydon newspaper. We done this by adding our image to the background of our magaizne and putting it the bottom layer. After we done this we added our title of the newspaer to the top of the page in a colour that standed out but also that went with the image. I changed the affect of the image to make it stand out that little bit more, the effect that i added to my title is called the inner shadow, this makes the title stand out.
After i added in my main image i then added in my masterhead and all my sub-headings. I enlarged my main subheading which brings my auidence to automatically read it. I choose my image as my background because it relates to 'Snap shots from up-coming musicals' as she is the ,aom character and everyone wants read about her.
I choose my colour scheme becuase it matches the haydon the colours of blue. Blue is more of boys colour so i added pink so that it has a different mixture of colours, so that it appeals to both genders and also teachers. I also added a Freebie to my magizine to make people want to buy it more because they get a free gift.
